How do you answer this????
Last night as Luke and I were reading books before bed we were reading the story of Jesus' birth. Luke looked at me and said "who's belly was God in". Anyone that has an answer for that feel free to pass it along.

The prophetic wisdom of a 4 year old
Lucas: Mommy some day I'm going to be a Daddy.
Mommy: Your right. If your lucky enough God will bless you with a child and you will be a Daddy.
Lucas: And I'm going to be a GOOD Daddy too.
Mommy: Yes and when you become a Daddy I get to be a Grandma.
Lucas: Nooooo You're never going to look old enough to be a Grandma.
Now that is one intelligent child. Either that or he knows how to butter up his Mommy.

A word of advice
A little word of advice to all you bloggers or future bloggers. When you are giving out your blog address, make sure your "too smart for his own good" 8 year old doesn't hear. Or you may end up in the folllowing conversation.
Zach: (Yelling from the computer room) Mommmeey!
Mommy: What.
Zach: A FREAK! What do you mean a freak.
Mommy: I said "in a good way".
Zach: But a freak.......was and continues to be.
Mommy: But I said it was in a good way.
Somehow it was so much easier when he was totally dependent on me and couldn't log on to the computer, type in a website and read what I was saying about him.

A First!
So I've finally done it. I started a blog. Iam hoping this will help my failing brain to remember all those little cute things that happen in our life. And even the not so cute things that might not be so funny now but maybe they will be someday. Speaking of firsts, Todd and I are experiencing a first as parents. I know its hard to believe after 11 years and 4 kids that there would be any firsts left. But we are experiencing the hilarious language of a child first learning to talk. I know we've had other kids that learned to talk but it was different with them. Our firstborn, Zach, was, and continues to be a freak. I mean that in a good way. He started talking at 2 in complete and in very clear sentences. I actually should say questions not sentences. Question after question after question. He was, and still is, very beyond his years. Now our second born Max just didn't talk. That's right not a word until he was 3 years old. Of course who could get a word in with Zach around. He made one sound that meant everything. It was ungungha. I highly doubt there is a correct spelling for that but phonetically that's the best I could do. Then at 3and 1/2 he started speaking in clear sentences. Now we have Lucas. His language is his own. It is so fun hearing him pronounce things and trying to decifer what he is saying. Todd and I have never had this before. It is a first for us. And frankly we are finding it quite entertaining. Isabella is entertaining in this way as well. She has a name for all of her brothers. Zach is Zah. Max is Mah. Lucas is Knute, or maybe it's newt. Not sure of the spelling but that's how it sounds. So no doubt this blog will consist of some pretty hilarious mispronounced words and sentences that have been giving us a lot of chuckles and hopefully you will get a laugh or two out of it also.
